How to Play

Number of Players
Komodo Kid is a single player game. However, it is strongly encouraged that families play together. To view the demo click here. (Note: Please ensure that Javascript is enabled in your browser by turning off any pop-up blockers.)

The Objective
The objective of the game is to get Komodo Kid back to The Komodo National Park in Indonesia safely by passing three levels:
  • Level 1: Grassland in the daytime
  • Level 2: Rainforest at nighttime
  • Level 3: Savanna during sunset

The player is successful by achieving points by spitting venom at enemies, jumping on top of coins and enemies, where appropriate. The player loses the game by running into an enemy or falling into an area of water.

At the end of each level, the player will be prompted to answer three multiple choice trivia questions about Komodo Dragons to achieve bonus points.


Keys to Remember on your Keyboard

  • The LEFT ARROW KEY will make Komodo Kid move to the left
  • The RIGHT ARROW KEY will make Komodo Kid move to the right
  • The UP ARROW KEY will make Komodo Kid jump upward
  • The SPACEBAR will make Komodo Kid spit venom.

Successful Completion
The top 50 scores achieved from playing Komodo Kid will be displayed on the Top Scores page of this website. After the player completes the game with a perfect score or a score higher than the lowest score already displayed on the site, he or she will be prompted to type in three initials to be displayed with his or her score on this website.
